An ATV tour is one of the few Koh Samui adventures the whole family can do together. Children ride as passengers seated behind an adult driver from as young as 4 at three parks, and confident kids can drive their own quad from 12 (11 at one park). Every tour includes a helmet, a safety briefing and hotel pickup, and the guides set the pace to the group.
There are two ways for a child to ride, and the age rules are different for each:

The passenger age is the number that decides where a family with small children can ride:

The standout family deal is Green Mountain, where children aged 6 to 10 ride free as passengers. Note that Orange Wave asks drivers to be 18, so teenagers cannot drive there, and Wild Action runs single rider quads with no passenger seats at all.
Since July 2026 every park prices the driver and the passenger separately, so a family day costs the driver rate plus a smaller passenger seat per child. Two examples at current prices: a parent and one child on a 1 hour Trail Blazers ride is ฿1,600 plus ฿1,000 so ฿2,600 for both. Two parents and two kids aged 6 to 10 on a 1 hour Green Mountain ride is two drivers at ฿1,500 with both children free, so ฿3,000 for the family. Each ATV carries a maximum of two people, one driver and one passenger, with a combined weight limit of 140 kg. Two adults close to that limit are better off taking a quad each, but a parent with a child is well inside it, which is exactly what the passenger seat is for. Guides pair each child with their own adult, so a family of four books two quads: two drivers, two passengers.
For the youngest children (4 and 5), pick Jungle Quad, Trail Blazers or Samui X-Treme.
