Green Mountain ATV runs its tours from the Maenam Soi 7 area into the hills behind the north coast, where a network of dirt trails climbs past fruit farms and jungle viewpoints with the sea and Koh Phangan on the horizon. It is a small-group, semi-private setup: automatic quads (200cc and up), a local guide leading the way, and routes that scale from an easy one hour taster to a four hour ride across the island's north-western mountains. Every option starts the same way: hotel pickup, a safety briefing and practice at the camp, then out onto the trails. The one hour trip covers gardens and viewpoints close to camp. Two hours adds a waterfall and more viewpoints.
Pickup from your hotel
Hotel pickup is around 09:00 to 09:30 for the morning session (riding from 10:00) or 13:00 to 13:30 for the afternoon session (riding from 14:00). Hotels on steep hills or away from the main road may be given a nearby meeting point.
At the camp you get your helmet and a run through of the automatic quads: throttle, brakes and body position. There are no gears to shift and no licence needed, and there is time to practise before the trail.

No. The quads run on private trails, so no licence is required, and they are fully automatic. After the safety briefing and a bit of practice at the camp, most first-timers are comfortable within minutes.
One hour is a taster of gardens and viewpoints near the camp. Two hours adds a waterfall and more viewpoints. Three hours adds the hilltop temple Wat Teepangkorn and includes lunch. Four hours is the full program: the widest loop of viewpoints, waterfall, temple and a restaurant lunch. For the waterfall, book at least two hours; for the temple and lunch, book three or four.
Yes, as passengers from age 6, and children aged 6 to 10 ride free with a paying driver. Young riders can drive from age 12 after an ability test and with parental consent, though 16 and over is recommended for drivers.
Yes. Every quad seats a driver plus one passenger, with a maximum combined load of 140 kg. Passengers pay the lower passenger rate shown in the pricing.
On the 3 hour and 4 hour tours, yes. The 1 hour and 2 hour tours include soft drinks only.

For safety, this tour is not suitable for pregnant women, anyone with a serious back, neck or heart condition, or anyone who has been drinking alcohol. Drivers need to be at least 12, and children from 6 can come along as passengers. Weight limits apply per quad. Yes. Each ATV has a combined weight limit of 140 kg and carries a maximum of two people, so the driver and passenger together should weigh no more than 140 kg. If your pair is close to that limit it is better to take a quad each. If you are not sure, message us before you book and we will help.

Amazing tour, we did 2 hours and stopped off at waterfalls and a lovely bar over looking at the sea! Got to see some wildlife too! Definitely would recommend the tour- First was a great tour guide!
