For most bookings you choose, and paying on the day is the default. Book 1 to 3 riders on this site and you pay nothing up front: you reserve the slot here and settle at the park when you arrive. Groups of 4 or more and private tours pay a deposit at checkout, with the balance due on the day. You can also pay in full online, which carries a 5 percent card processing fee shown before you confirm. You book with us either way, and you pay the park's own rate with no hotel desk or agency commission on top.
Only for groups of 4 or more riders and for private tours, where the deposit holds the machines for your date. Every smaller booking is confirmed online with nothing to pay up front. This is the same rule at all 8 parks, because you are booking with us. Full detail in our booking guide.
Yes. Every tour booked on this site can be cancelled free up to 24 hours before the start, deposits included, at all 8 parks. Inside 24 hours the booking is not refundable. If the forecast looks bad you can hold your slot and decide the day before at no cost, and if the park cancels for weather or safety you are offered a new date or a refund.
In high season, from December to March, book two to three days ahead, especially for double quads and buggies, which every park has fewer of. From April to November a day ahead is usually enough and same-day booking often works. Morning slots fill up first.
Yes, for most people, when you ride with an established operator, wear the helmet provided and follow your guide. Every tour starts with a safety briefing and a practice ride, and the guides set the pace to the group. Our safety guide covers this in detail.
No. The tours run on private jungle and mountain trails, not public roads, so no car or motorbike licence is needed. The quads are automatic too. See our licence guide for the full explanation.
No. The quads are fully automatic, with no gears, and every tour begins with a briefing and a short practice ride at the base. Tell your guide if it is your first time so they can keep the pace comfortable.
Every operator provides a helmet and a safety briefing as standard, along with basic accident insurance. Wear closed shoes you do not mind getting dirty, and some parks also provide a raincoat in the wet season.
Riding is not recommended if you are pregnant, or if you have back, neck or heart problems or another serious medical condition, whether you drive or ride as a passenger. Alcohol before or during the tour is not allowed.
It is 12 at most operators, and 11 at X-Quad for a confident child who passes the practice ride. Orange Wave is the exception at 18. The full breakdown is in our age limits guide.
Yes, as passengers seated behind an adult driver. Jungle Quad, Trail Blazers and Samui X-Treme take passengers from age 4, Green Mountain from 6 and Orange Wave from 8. Wild Action is the only operator that does not take passengers.
It depends on the operator. Green Mountain, Samui Quad Motor and Samui X-Treme charge a small passenger add-on, from around ฿900. Jungle Quad, X-Quad, Trail Blazers and Orange Wave price a two-seat quad instead, so a driver plus passenger runs ฿3,200 to ฿3,800 for 2 hours.
No. Older riders are welcome as long as they are in reasonable health and comfortable with the controls.
From 1 to 4 hours. A 1 hour ride is a short taste of the trails, 2 hours adds a viewpoint and usually a waterfall, and the 3 to 4 hour tours go deeper with a waterfall swim, a temple and lunch. Not every operator runs every length.
Jungle and mountain trails in the island's interior, viewpoints over the coast, and on the longer tours a jungle waterfall and a temple. The exact stops vary by operator and by which side of the island they ride from.
Only on the longest tours. Water or a soft drink comes with every tour, and a Thai lunch, usually at a jungle viewpoint restaurant, is included on the 3 or 4 hour tours at Jungle Quad, Green Mountain, X-Quad and Orange Wave. Trail Blazers and Wild Action do not serve a meal.

Yes, at some operators. X-Quad runs CFMOTO side-by-side buggies and bigger twin machines, and Orange Wave offers a two-seat buggy on every program. Most first timers are perfectly happy on the standard automatic quad.
Yes. Every operator includes free hotel pickup and drop-off anywhere on Koh Samui, and you can also arrive at the base yourself if you have your own transport. Pickups usually start 30 to 60 minutes before the tour time.

Probably, and that is part of the fun. Trails are dusty in the dry season and muddy after rain. Wear old clothes and bring a change for the ride back.

Most are around Maenam on the north coast. Jungle Quad and Green Mountain are on the Nathon and Ang Thong side, and Samui X-Treme is the only camp on the Lamai side. All of them offer island-wide hotel pickup.
