Jungle Quad runs ATV tours on its own tracks in the mountains above Nathon, on the quiet west side of Koh Samui. The quads are automatic, so you do not need a licence or any experience. You get a safety briefing and time to practise before you set off, and a guide rides with the group the whole way. The trails climb through thick jungle and old coconut plantations, with a few muddy splash sections and a stop at a viewpoint over the hills and the coast. You ride one person per quad, or two if you bring a passenger.
Hotel pickup
Your driver picks you up from your hotel, villa or meeting point about an hour before the tour. Morning tours start at 09:00 with pickup around 08:00, and afternoon tours start at 14:00 with pickup around 13:00. The 2 hour tour also runs at 16:00 with pickup around 15:00. You can also meet the team at the Jungle Quad base if you prefer.
You arrive at the Jungle Quad base in the hills above Nathon. Get your helmet fitted, meet your guide and take a few practice laps on the automatic quad before you head out. No licence or experience is needed.
Set off through thick jungle and old coconut plantations on private tracks, with muddy splash sections and a stop at a viewpoint over the hills and the coast. The guide keeps an easy pace, so first-timers are comfortable.
This is where the 2 hour tour turns back. You ride to the base for a cold drink, then your driver takes you home. The 3 and 4 hour tours carry on to the waterfall.

Yes. Children from 4 years old can ride as passengers. Drivers need to be at least 12 and confident on the quad. Each quad carries one driver and one passenger, up to a combined 140 kg.
The 2 hour tour is the jungle ride. The 3 hour tour adds a swim at a hidden waterfall. The 4 hour tour adds the waterfall, a visit to Teepangkorn Temple and the Magic Buddha Garden, and a Thai lunch.
Yes. Pickup and drop-off are included from any hotel on Koh Samui. Give your hotel name and room number when you book.
Wear clothes and shoes you do not mind getting muddy, and bring swimwear and a towel for the waterfall on the longer tours.
The 2 hour tour starts at 2,800 THB for a solo rider and 3,800 THB with a passenger. The 3 hour tour is 3,500 or 4,500 THB, and the 4 hour tour is 4,500 or 6,500 THB.
You pay on the day of the tour, in cash or by card. Card payments have a 5 percent fee. Cancellations are free up to 24 hours before the tour.
The base is in the mountains above Nathon, on the west side of Koh Samui. Hotel pickup is included, or you can ride up and meet the team at the base.
For safety, the tour is not suitable for pregnant women, anyone with a serious back, neck or heart condition, or anyone who has been drinking alcohol. Children under 4 cannot ride, and there is a 140 kg weight limit per quad. If any of this applies to your group, message us before you book and we will help.
Yes. Each ATV has a combined weight limit of 140 kg and carries a maximum of two people, so the driver and passenger together should weigh no more than 140 kg. If your pair is close to that limit it is better to take a quad each. If you are not sure, message us before you book and we will help.
One of the highlights of our time in Koh Samui! The ATV tour was incredibly fun from start to finish. The trails were a perfect mix of jungle paths, steep climbs, muddy sections, and stunning viewpoints that made the ride exciting the whole way through. The guides were friendly, professional, and made sure everyone felt safe while still letting us enjoy the adventure. The ATVs were well-maintained, and the whole experience was well organized, including the hotel pickup. If you’re in Chaweng and looking for an adrenaline-filled activity with amazing scenery, this is an absolute must-do. Would definitely do it again!
I can’t rave more about how epic this tour was!!!!!!! Riding through the jungle was just incredible, breathtaking views, some on a paved road and then a super fun dirt track with plenty of bumps and crevices to navigate. Y was such a great tour guide (and an amazing ATV rider with all the tricks!). We had plenty of chances to stop and admire the view, get drinks, not to mention all the animals we saw! We fed beautiful birds, patted dogs and cuddled a monkey! 10/10! Would say you need some driving experience for the terrain!
Absolutely fantastic experience. Great tour of the island with a knowledgable guide. A young man from Myanmar was our guide. He was kind, patient with my travel partner and took pictures of us, told us stories, and guided us well through the jungle. Highly recommend going for 3-4 hours. Book tickets at minimum 24 hours in advance for best service. We heard back from our guide within 10min of booking, on WhatsApp, with a pick up time (picks you up anywhere on the island).
Just did an amazing 4 hour ATV trek. The different sights were worth it alone. Riding the ATV was loads of fun. My guide Faro was incredible. Very attentive and knowledgable about the island, and used my phone to take pictures and videos of me riding the ATV as well. Can't recommend enough, highlight of my holiday and memories i will keep forever
We did the 3 hour ATV tour. Bena was our guide, he was amazing! Stopped at loads of cool little places to admire the views. The water fall dip pool was fabulous. It really was well worth every penny!
