Ride a fully automatic quad into the green hills above Maenam with Orange Wave ATV Safari, on the north coast of Koh Samui. From the camp the trails climb straight into the island's interior: rubber and coconut plantations, jungle tracks and viewpoints with Koh Phangan on the horizon. You get a helmet, a safety briefing and a little practice, then an English and French speaking guide leads the group out. No driving licence is needed. Choose your ride length when you book.
Pickup from your hotel or villa
We collect you from your hotel, villa or meeting point across Koh Samui. Morning tours pick up around 09:00 to 09:30 and afternoon tours around 14:00 to 14:30, with the exact time depending on where you stay. Be waiting in your lobby on time, as the driver can only wait a few minutes. Prefer to come by yourself? You can also make your own way to the Orange Wave camp on Maenam Soi 3.
At the camp you register, meet your guide and gear up with a helmet. After a safety briefing and a little practice on the fully automatic quad, the group rides out together.
We head off road on jungle tracks through rubber and coconut plantations, climbing into the green interior of the island. The guides ride with the group and keep the pace easy, so first timers are in good hands.
We ride back down to the camp and drop off the quads, and the driver takes you back to your hotel or villa.
Prefer to make your own way there? You can skip the pickup and meet us directly at the start point.

Ride to the Orange Wave ATV base on Maenam Soi 3. Check in at the base before your tour time.
A relaxed, guided ride at an easy pace rather than a race, so first timers and nervous riders are comfortable. The quads are fully automatic with no gears, and no driving licence is needed. Expect dust in the dry season and mud after rain, jungle trails climbing into the island's interior, a panoramic viewpoint over the coast toward Koh Phangan, and on the longer rides a waterfall stop, a free drink at the jungle cafe and a Thai lunch.
From 1,500 THB for the 1 hour safari riding solo (2,200 THB with a passenger). The 2 hour safari is 2,200 THB solo or 3,200 THB for two sharing, and the 3 hour with Thai lunch is 3,500 THB or 5,500 THB. Prices are per machine and include hotel transfer. Checked July 2026.
No. The quads are fully automatic and every tour starts with a safety briefing and practice before you head onto the trails.
Drivers ride their own quad from age 18, and children can join as passengers from age 8. Some agents list a lower driver age, so confirm when you book if anyone in your group is under 18.
The 1 hour safari is a quick ride on the jungle trails. The 2 hour adds a panoramic viewpoint and a waterfall stop with a free drink at the Tree Bridge Coffee cafe. The 3 hour climbs higher for a Thai lunch at the mountain top 360 restaurant and Wat Teepangkorn, the temple with Samui's highest Buddha.

What an amazing experience. We had 2 hours of riding the ATV, and next time, I will book a full day. Staff all great, one man in our group struggled with steering and the staff helped him and when he was ready to give up they took him on the back of theirs so he didn't miss out. refreshments given halfway through. I have done ATV a few times and it Was a challenging ride in places, but, for me, that made it more fun. The views are breathtaking.
Nice experience, we took a 2 hours tour through jungle and waterfalls. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Had a fantastic day!! We had the best day! The guides made our day, so lovely, funny and helpful. My favourite day of the holiday 🙏 Thank you
The ATV trip was awesome! I really enjoyed the ride, and it was one of the best experiences on the island. The guides were friendly and helpful in every way, so even those who were riding an ATV for the first time had a great time. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a bit of adventure!
